Terms of use
The deal when you use SkiWith
Draft — not yet in effect
Last updated: [date]. This is a plain-language draft for review. Items in [brackets] still need to be filled in by the owner.
Who we are
SkiWith is run by [Company legal name], [Address]. "We" and "us" mean that company. "You" means the person using the app. By creating an account you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy.
You need to be 18
SkiWith is for adults. You must be at least 18 years old to use it, and you confirm that when you sign up. If we learn that an account belongs to someone younger, we'll remove it.
Your account
Sign up with an email address or with your Apple or Google account. Keep your sign-in details to yourself; what happens on your account is on you. Use your real first name and your own photos, and be honest about how you ride. One account per person.
What SkiWith is
SkiWith lets you post the days you plan to ski or ride, see other riders heading to the same places, connect with them, share rides, and form crews with shared chats and calendars. It's a way to meet people. It is not a guide service, a transport service, or a safety service.
Riding together is at your own risk
Skiing and snowboarding are dangerous. The people you meet through SkiWith are other users, not our staff, and we don't vet them. You decide who to ride with, who to get in a car with, and what terrain to take on. Use your judgement the way you would with anyone you met in a lift line.
We're not responsible for what happens on the hill, on the road, or between riders. Carpools are private arrangements between the people in them.
How to behave
Be the person you'd want to share a chairlift with. In particular, don't:
- harass, threaten, or discriminate against anyone;
- post photos that aren't yours, aren't of you, or are explicit;
- pretend to be someone else or lie about your age;
- use SkiWith to sell things, advertise, or spam;
- scrape, copy, or try to break into the app or other people's data;
- use the app for anything illegal.
You can block anyone and report anyone from their profile. We read reports and may warn, restrict, or remove accounts that break these rules, without having to explain why.
Your content
Your profile, photos, trips and messages are yours. You give us permission to store them and show them to the riders who are allowed to see them, which is what the app needs in order to work. We don't use your content for anything else. You're responsible for having the right to post what you post.

Leaving
You can stop using SkiWith whenever you like. To delete your account, email [Contact email] from the address on the account. We can also close accounts that break these terms or that have been inactive for a long time.
No promises
SkiWith is provided as is. It's an early product and things will occasionally break, change or go away. We don't promise it will always be available, that other riders' information is accurate, or that you'll find someone to ride with. To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for losses that come from using the app or from meeting people through it.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll tell you in the app or by email before the change takes effect. Carrying on using SkiWith after that means you accept the new terms.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of [jurisdiction], and disputes go to the courts of [jurisdiction]. If you have a problem, email us first at [Contact email]; most things can be sorted out that way.
